Well it's officially fall, and the nights are chillier, the days are shorter, and the air is crisp.
Take these little steps for a great fall ahead...

To help your children with a good start to the school year, try fish oils, Omega 3 enriched, brain food. Our bodies can't produce this fat on it's own, and the brain is nearly 60% fat much these omega 3 DHAs.

Pack real foods for lunch, and don't leave home without a healthy breakfast too - AVOID ANY PROCESSED FOODS

Try to go to bed and wake up around the same time daily

Take a probiotic daily and build your immune system, great for children too!
Usually any probiotic available is good but lactobactillus are predominant in the upper intestine and Bifidobacteria more prominent in the lower intestine. Maintain your gut flora!

Remember children are at higher risk to toxins like second hand smoke because their immune systems are still developing. Ie children of smokers tend to have a higher chance of getting an ear infection than children of non smokers

To help relieve babies colic avoid these foods while breastfeeding: soy, corn, wheat, cow's milk, peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, fish, pork

Interesting facts: More children from the city suffer from food allergies than children from a rural environment

Natural Remedies to Aid in Asthma Relief

I had severe asthma as a child, but my parents were very anti 'steroid filled puffers' and thank goodness. Of course had them when I needed them but they were smart to look hard at alternatives and quickly.
